Nic is a computational chemist, machine learning enthusiast, and evangelist for the Free Drug Hypothesis. Prior to joining Inductive Bio, Nic led computational lead-optimization activities at Relay Therapeutics, where he supported DC Nominations in multiple oncology and genetic disease programs. His team leveraged physics-based, ML-based, and PK/PD modeling to optimize projected human dose and safety profile for reversible & covalent inhibitors, activating chaperones, and heterobiofunctional degraders.
Nic graduated from the Joint Carnegie Mellon - University of Pittsburgh Ph.D. Program in Computational Biology, and his work has featured in Nature, PLOS Computational Biology, AI in the Life Sciences, and several small molecule patents.
